Question 5.
∫ (2x + 3) \(\sqrt{4 x^2+5 x+6}\) dx
Solution:
Let I = ∫ (2x + 3) \(\sqrt{4 x^2+5 x+6}\) dx
Let 2x +3 = A \(\frac{d}{d x}\) (4x2 + 5x + 6) + B
= A (8x + 5) + B
∴ 2 = 8A
⇒ A = \(\frac{1}{4}\)
and 5A + B = 3
⇒ B = 3 – \(\frac{5}{4}\) = \(\frac{7}{4}\)
